OK - I never thought that I would be as intrigued as I have become around personal transformation and the power of social networking. But having recently re-enaged with my personal writing BECAUSE I set it as a goal in my Mindbloom tree and have kept reminding myself that it's important - I am here to tell you that it really works. That, and I'm being extra nice and sending a kind, supportive loving text message at least once a day to my dear husband. Would have never happened without that extra daily "nudge."
And, we are now on the verge of releasing what I think will really make a difference in terms of building and sustaining community commitment to one's goals and aspirations...direct postings to Facebook Connect. and a mobile interface that will allow me to keep track of all this meaningful activity when I'm out and about. Which is all the time. Rare are the moments when I can sit at my computer and engage as I do when I write - and honestly, I'd rather take the time to compose than to track what I've got going on and how successfully (or not) I'm achieving what I set out to accomplish.
It's thrilling to see weekly progress from a team that is what can only be described as physically small but incredibly pithy, smart and committed. And we play nicely with one another and state what we feel and think in a respectful (albeit sometimes vociferous) manner. It's like being part of the Knights of the Round Table empowered by Al Gore's mission to save the planet recast with Oprah's world view on living your best life. That's a lot of top notch talent to compare one's self to, but it actually feels like that.
So here I stand in Hawaii, swordfern and hibiscus raised high. My thanks to Chris Hewett and Brent Poole for founding this company - and bringing me into the fold. Wahooooooooo!
